Overall foundation length of 10' 1/2" consists of 17 cinder blocks placed end-to-end (16" L each) plus 1 cinder block placed at a 90-degree angle with 17 mortar joints between them 1/2" thick.

End View -- Proposed 24' x 10' Shed Foundation. Overall foundation height of 25" consists of 3 cinder block layers (8" H each) plus two mortar layers at 1/2" each. Overall foundation width of 10' 3-12" consists of 7 cinder blocks placed end-to-end (16" L each) plus 1 cinder block placed at a 90-degree angle (8" W) with 7 mortar joints between them (1/2" thick).

Top View -- Proposed 24' x 10' Shed Floor Joist Structure. These 2" x 6" Floor Joists are spaced every 16 inches on center. There are actually three 8-foot-long floor joist structures placed end-to-end with staggered 2" x 6" beams placed along their outside edges. Please note that the cross-joists on the outer ends (east and west ends) have 12-inch gaps in them to accomodate 12-inch vents as required by code.

Please note that in this particular example, there is a provision for an 18" x 24" crawl space "hatch" to the right of the center cross-joist in the middle cross-joist structure since there is to be a crawl space under this shed flooring.

Constructed of 2" x 4" wood beams placed every 16" on center. Please note framing for door opening with 2" x 6" "header" over top of door opening in center section.
